La Luna Sangre - Masks and Shadows, episode 94 recap

La Luna Sangre: Masks and Shadows, episode 94 recap

Finally, Professor Theodore's experiment was on a final stage. And Samantha was there to closely monitor his progress. He allowed her to consume a vial of an unknown liquid. Immediately, she started to retched as if she was torn from the inside.

He promptly gave her his flask to drink.

She wiped the moisture on her mouth as her watered eyes focused on him. He laughed softly, quietly. Obviously, his experiment was a success.

After she recovered, she nodded at him and commanded. "Ipalakad mo na ang gamot."

⟲ Betty & Doc ⟳

Tristan was able to put his aunt and foster father into safety. Thankfully, Patrick and the others were also safe after their minor battle with the assaulting vampires. While, giving enough time for his aunt to recover, he promised her that he will do anything to keep them safe.

⟲ LLU HQ ⟳

After Tristan's request to launch a joint training program between Moonchasers and LLU, Malia talked to her people regarding the topic. She arranged the meeting between the two organizations while stating that she won't be able to participate because she intends to get closer to Gilbert Imperial herself.

⟲ Jacintha ⟳

Meanwhile, Jacintha had conversation with Samantha that morning regarding the Supremo. The latter was still amused by the knowledge that her brother has feelings towards the former. However, she also noted that Barang was having strong suspicions regarding Jacintha's identity.

Jacintha narrowed her eyes at that new complication to their plans, "kung kinakailangan na mawala siya. Gawin mo, Samantha. Hindi pwede na siya pa ang makasagabal sa mga pinaplano natin."

Samantha went quiet at Jacintha's calm command to exterminate the person that cared for her when she was young. Jacintha's eyes rounded at her hesitation. "Hindi mo ba kaya?" She challenged her.

"Susubukan ko." Samantha retorted as lifted her head as if drawing strength on the invisible energy that surrounds her.

⟲ Moonchasers' HQ ⟳

La Liga Unida and Moonchasers began their joint training in order to advance the skills of the latter's skills in fighting, defending and upping against the vampires. As usual, Professor T. made a preparation talk, stating that the weapons that they will be using in the training is not enough to kill the vampires but able to hurt them anyway.

Professor T. arranged them to fight one on one to further gauge their skills against the better, experienced and specialized human being, e.g werewolves and vampires.

And it went on satisfactorily as Moonchasers proved with each battle joust that they can also fight and came out as winners against them.

They displayed their developed skills through constant training and of course, their experience in combat cannot be compared against any training.

⟲ Samantha & Barang ⟳

Once again, Samantha was confronted by Barang regarding Lia/ Jacintha and her role into machinations designed to sabotage Supremo's plan. Yet again, Samantha denied the identity of Jacintha that Barang kept on harping about. She reiterated that whatever Jacintha's true identity, she will make her an ally.

"Eh di, pinagtutulungan nyo nga siya." Barang shot at her.

Samantha didn't respond to her.

Barang's face contorted in anger. "Anong klase kang kapatid? Imbis na suportahan mo ang layunin ng kapatid mo, ikaw pa ang siyang gumagawa ng hakbang upang masira siya." She accused her.

"Masama ang intensyon ng aking kapatid. Hindi maaaring mangyari ang gusto niya upang pagharian ang mundo." She defended herself firmly.

"Para sa isang perpektong mundo!" Barang glared at her.

She implored her. Her eyes glittered with tears, her voice quavery for the suppressed emotions.

But Barang merely looked at her with anger on her eyes, her irresolute loyalty to Supremo and unwavering devotion in his cause was very apparent in her whole demeanor. Soon, the vulnerability on Samantha's angel face changed into a masked of fierce determination.

"Sa muling paghaharap natin, isa sa atin ang matutumba!" Samantha declared.

⟲ Una Republika ⟳

While the Moonchasers was having an advance training with the La Liga Unida, Malia went to Gilbert's headquarters and inquired about volunteers. "Gusto kong mag volunteer." She told the assisting staffs.

Far more than that, she was delightfully surprised to discover that her childhood friend Luningning was working in Gilbert's campaign. She initially looked at her in shock once she recognized her. Then her face lit up. "Ningning..." she breathes.

Luningning didn't recognized her as she gave questions regarding Malia's basic information as he was applying for volunteer in Gilbert's campaign. Malia leaned forward, stealing a look to nearby staffs and whispered to her. "Ningning, ako ito. Si Malia." She said. And as a flare of recognition was reflected in her friend's eyes, she continued. "Hindi tayo pwedeng magusap dito. Magusap tayo sa labas mamaya."

⟲ Jacintha ⟳

That morning, Jacintha went over to Gilbert's headquarters to oversee the campaign activities and also to wait for Gilbert to arrive because he was scheduled to have an interview with Television host, Cheska.

Gilbert arrived shortly and she greeted him with her usual cool, reserved smile. She adjusted the lapels of his jacket and looked at him winsomely. "Ready?" She said in a high note. But her efforts went flat as Gilbert merely looked at her with no expression on his face and nodded.

It seems that Gilbert were visibly distancing himself with Jacintha and it showed as they walked towards the parked vehicle outside the building, he was silent and reticent. He was even walking ahead of her, unopposed to their usual side to side walking previously.

To say the least, Jacintha was irked when he further told her to sit in the front.

However, the consolation part was that Gilbert was also suffering from the distance he was instigating as he looked at her back forlornly. Not realizing the Jacintha could see his expression from the small mirror she was looking into.

⟲ Luningning ⟳

Finally, Malia met with her childhood friend Luningning and she didn't waste time to reveal to her the truth behind Gilbert Imperial's political persona. She told her that he was a vampire and she was there in an effort to prevent him from his evil intention of winning the presidential election, thereby ruling the whole country.

She also revealed to Luningning that the lover that she was angry about, the childhood sweetheart that she thought ran away and left her for another girl was in fact a vampire and now dead. Heartbrokenly, Malia told her that she was unable to save NogNog.

⟲ On Location ⟳

Meanwhile, Jacintha and Gilbert arrived at the studio. However, the air between them was awkward and silent. And at the silence that was threatening to grate on her nerves, she went over the cooling box that her staffs carried to their room, "may inihanda akong packed lunch para sa'yo." She said to him.

Gilbert briefly shook his head, not meeting her eyes and made a play of adjusting the sling on his arms. "Hindi ako nagugutom." He answered her. He stood up and looked about he was leaving.

"Saan ka pupunta?" She asked, her tone pleasant.

"Magpapahangin lang sa labas." He said.

"Iniiwasan mo ba ako?" She asked forthrightly. But before he could answer, a Television staff entered the room and announced that the show was about to begin and they need to prepare for the interview. They have no recourse but to follow them while their unfinished discussion hung between them.

Backstage, while Gilbert was being prepped up for the interview, Jacintha unobtrusively observed him and noting the changes in his behavior. Her mind calculating, even a little bit concerned as she tried to act her normal self around him. Pretending that she knew nothing, pretending that she was aware of nothing.
She thought as she watched him being groomed.

⟲ Malia ⟳

All the while, Malia was able to enter the building. However, to her consternation she was firmly blocked into entering the studio even when she claimed she's one of Gilbert Imperial's volunteers. Frustrated when the security guard refused her once more, she walked into the corridor, dejected. Then, she halted as one thought struck her. She looked back, eying the unsuspecting man curiously.

So, she approached him in a deceptively soft steps, her eyes downcast, her hands light as she descended it to the man's shoulders. Then, she lifted her eyes to his startled face.

"Papapasukin mo ako sa loob ng studio." She calmly stresses out to the security man, compelling. And she had the satisfaction when he nodded like an automaton.
