Till I Met You: Santorini; where the magic begins episode
Basti, Iris and Ali's Greek life seemed to be leading in a good direction as they started to build their small event organizing business in the beautiful country.
"I'm studying online photography class, Tita Vy. May sinisimulan kaming small photography business ng mga friends ko." Basti finally gets serious about his life, stopped procrastinating and began studying to be a more serious photographer.
While they Iris and Ali got another client on work with to earn more money.
After four months
Ali and Iris' internship were at end and they were informed by their manager that the hotel management would not be absorbing new employee from their batch because of their freeze hiring.
Iris was crestfallen but the two men where there to let her see the brighter side of things and to cheer her up. Ali also informed them that he wont be able to make it to the wedding they are organizing for one whole day because of his volunteer work at the hotel. And Basti confidently assured both of them that he got it covered.
Santorini, Greece
Early morning at the Santorini port, Iris and Basti were already engaged in a spat regarding their clothing. Each has something to say about their chosen attire for the event they are organizing.
"We are here to work not t have a good time!" Iris reprimanded him.
To which, Basti good naturedly went along with her sour disposition.
He thus smilingly documented their side trip to the town, riding a donkey, as they say a common mode of transportation in Greece.
After complaining to Ali about Basti about their impromptu ride with the donkey, she got a text message from their client that their meeting was cancelled for that day because of a sudden important meeting.
Basti suggested that the best thing to do is to llok around the city and advises her to not get so uptight and too focused on the future. Rather, she needs to enjoy the present.
He managed to convinced her to ride an ATV around the town.
While overlooking the colorful landscape, Basti taught Iris to feel the moment, to feel the place.
"Not everyone gets to experience the beauty of Greece, this is the great opportunity for you to revel at the magnificent beauty of nature and just feel it."
On the clift side, he urged her to swim and told her to jump into the waters.
True to her nature, she adamantly refuses and cites the possible reasons why she wont dot it.
He jumped to her side and said, "ang OA naman, tatalon lang. Don't over think, sometimes you just need to jump."
"Hindi ako basta basta tumatalon without any reasons at all."
"If you are always afraid, you are missing a lot in your life!"
"Alam mo ang buhay ko pamilyA ko, kaya okay na ako don."
"That's true but when is the last time that you did something for your self? "
Pyrgos, Elis
After their swim, Basti brought her to another magical place that this Pyrgos.
Basti showed Iris the town where he grew up with his Mother sans his Father where Iris got to relate with him being both a Mama's girl.
He let her inside his head and memories about his Mother that she was introduced to the other side of him that she never thought existed.
Thus, Basti's softer side made her rethink of her opinions of Basti and they started to have a comfortable friendship together.
Then he showed her the beautiful sunset of Santorini.
As magical as the Greek sunset was, Iris was not easily swayed.
But the experience finally put a smile and a laughter in Iris' face.
"Maybe you are right, we watched the same sun that sets in every part off the globe. But that will depend on the person watching if it's just another sunset or the most beautiful thing he has ever seen."
