Till I Met You: Closer; You and I episode 13 recap

   Basti and Iris' trip around Santorini has brought them closer together. The experience helped Iris get more comfortable around him that made her softened her attitude and became less acerbic.

     The hotel suite that Spyros, their client has given them for the night was very posh and elegant. Basti was appreciative as he pointed that fact to Iris who was busy working on her laptop. 

     She continued to work for the rest of the night and Basti decided to accompany her by sitting on the couch set on the sidelines.

    Somehow, they managed to sleep in the same bed quite unintentionally and innocently.



The next day...

     And it was early morning when Ali managed to get to their hotel room.

    Ali was shocked to find them sleeping on the huge bed like a couple he thumped his bag on the floor as loudly as possible to create some noise.

    Iris woke at the ratchet Ali made and she was flabbergasted to realized that she was with Basti. She slapped him awake.

     "Anong nangyari sa inyong dalawa? May nangyari ba na hindi ko alam?!" Ali demanded while the two hurriedly made themselves decent, behaving like a guilty couple caught red handed.

    "Hindi Ali, hindi ko alam kung anong nangyari. A-andito ako tas andun siya--" She pointed at Basti, "Ikaw kasi, anong ginawa mo?"

   "Hindi ko alam, nakatulog ako. Andun ka andito ako..." He pointed their position the previous night in by way of explanation. Then they scurried away to escaped Ali's indignant gaze.

Midday...

    Iris overhead Basti apparently talking to his Father over the phone.

     "I'm just concerned about Tita Vy, I hope you wont hurt her like you hurt my mom." Basti said coldly to his father. His father called him again to ask if he's interested to work with him at the new company he's due to start in the Philippines. Not in the least interested, he accused his father of going back to the country just to see his old flame, the one who also caused so many heart aches to his Mother.

    She hesitantly approached him after his call ended. "Basti, okay ka lang ba? May problema ka ba? May maitutulong ba ako?" Basti looked at her as if confused. Shyly she shrugged, "baka gusto mong pagusapan?"

On the other hand...

  Nestor was so deep in thought after his conversation with Basti. Remembering his past in the Philippines, remembering Cassandra, his former girlfriend. And Val, who came to his office to talk to him spent a long minute or two to finally gain his attention.

     He looked at her like seeing her for the first time. Then Val was surprised when he suddenly hugged her tight. Then they talked about Val's feelings regarding their past involving Cass. She revealed to him that she felt threatened and was afraid about his true feelings for Cassandra specially now that they marriage was nearing.

     Nestor kissed Val's hand and vowed, "I love you. I will never hurt you kaya wala kang dapat ikatakot." Val's eyes misted on his promised and they embraced each other.

After awhile...

    While waiting for  a call for their interview set up for Spyros wedding using Basti's mobile number, Iris inadvertently received a call from his Father, Nestor. 

    Nestor was surprised to hear a female voice answer his call. But he was elated to learn that she was a Filipino and a friend of Basti's. He took the opportunity to get a favor and asked her to convey his message that he love his son and he was sorry.

      "Ahh...alam ko po na maling manghimasok pero naniniwala po ako na magkakaayos din kayo."

      "Thank you, iha. What is your name again?"

      "Iris po."
