Till I Met You: Admission; gay confession episode 8 recap

Iris was trying to be strong after her break up with Ali. "I'll talk to him," Basti declared. Before he was able to stand intent to do what he just said, Iris grabbed his arm.

"Basti wag na." Iris said and as he continued to look at her as if confused and hurt, she added gently. "Naisip ko lang kasi problema namin ni Ali to eh, kaming dalawa ang aayos nito."

"Iris I just cant sit here and...watched the two of you like that."

"Okay lang kami. Promise okay lang talaga."

On the other hand...

Ali hid himself on his room, struggling with different kinds of emotions.

"Iris, I'm sorry..."

Meanwhile...

Iris talked to her Mother, Cass regarding her relationship with Ali and was told that she needs to widen her understanding for Ali was struggling more than her.

"Anak, pareho man kayo ng situation ni Ali, mas mataas ang pressure sa kanya because remember this is last chance to prove to his father that he can make something out of his life without entering the Philippine Military Academy."

"Pero dapat din iniintindi din niya ako." Iris argued.

"Anak kung meron man na mas nakakaintindi sa kanya ikaw yon. Ngayon ka pa ba susuko? Anak, kailangan ka niya."

The next day...

Iris and Ali met in the port of Mykonos with the help of Basti. There was a slight awkwardness between them when Iris sat beside him. But no more than a minute, they've apologize to each other and started talking like old friends again.

"Pinapunta ako dito ng Manager ko."

"Ako din, kanina pa nga ako nanghihintay dito eh."

Then out of nowhere, Basti appeared and greeted them heartily. "O ano, bati na kayo? Diba sabi ko naman, aayusin ko ito."

"Bakit na sa port tayo?"

"To have some fun!" Basti gaily answered Iris' question. And before they depart to Mykonos, Iris thanked him for his help which he graciously accepted.

To Mykonos...

After a day of sight seeing around the island, Basti brought Ali and Iris to one of his friend's resort house where they met Frank and his Filipina girlfriend, Tessa.

"You know what, the first time Tessa came here, that's exactly what she said." He bent to kiss her on the forehead. "And now, we're eight years!"

Frank sought Basti's help with a surprise proposal to Tessa which he readily accepted.

Meanwhile...

While Basti was talking to Frank outside his home, Ali was watching them and at the gay couple behind them with something akin to longing to his eyes.

Hiding within the shadows of the Greek white-washed house, Ali was startled when he was approached by Tessa from behind. "Alam mo masayaa dito sa Mykonos, wala kang itatago. Pwede mong ilabas kung sino ang totoong ikaw."

"Huh? Ano...?"

Tessa laughed a little, "malakas ang pangamoy ko Ali. Nararamdaman ko na nahihirapan ka, Pero dito pwede kang magladlad. Pwede mong ilabas kung sino ka."

"Wait, you got it all wrong."

"Alam mo 'yon din ang sinasabi nila until-" she made a gestured sound.

Ali looked at her in quiet anger. "No, I'm serious. I'm not gay, girlfriend ko si Iris. Lalaki ako."

"Sorry.." Tessa said softly to Ali's departing back.

While preparing for the night of engagement...

Iris gathered some trinkets and flowers for table decorations.

While Basti hone his photography skills in taking a snap of the beautiful Asian beauty.

On the other hand, Ali was approached by Tessa and was persuaded to drink an ouzo which he reluctantly accepted. "By the way, sorry sa nasabi ko earlier," she began in between sips.

"Okay lang yun."

"Pero alam mo mahirap talaga ng may tinatago ka tungkol sa sarili mo, sa nararamdaman mo, sa tao na dapat na mamahalin mo. Dahil habang nagpapanggap ka pinaparusahan mo ang sarili mo, hindi mo pinapalaya ang sarili mo. At higit sa lahat, hindi mo pinapalaya ang taong nagmamahal sa'yo."

The engagement night...

Frank began their memorable night by reminiscing the times. "Remember when we first met in Paris eight years ago? I want to be with my best friend forever."

On bended knee, Frank asked Tessa to be his wife.

Tessa started to cry. "I'm sorry but I don't want to be with you matagal na. I'm sorry but I have to set my self free so that I can set you also free.." Her voice trailed away as she stood up and ran away much to everyone's amazement.

Ali and Iris sought Tessa out and asked if she was alright.

"Alam mo hindi ko gustong saktan ang bestfriend ko but I've never felt this good." Tessa started to cry again, "mabuti na ng ganito kesa naman sa habang buhay kaming maglokohan."

Deeply affected by the scene they witness, Ali stood up. "Excuse me, mauna na muna ako." Ali said as he began to walk away.

Iris followed Ali outside, shouting his name. And sensing that Iris was following him, he started to ran away.

Ali stopped at the top of the hill, out of breath. Iris who followed close behind faced him. "Ali ano ba ang nangyayari sa'yo? May ginawa ba si Tessa sa'yo?" She demanded the moment she regained her breathing.

"Wala, walang ginagawa si Tessa sa akin."

"Oh, e anong nangyayari bakit ka biglang umalis?"

"Wag muna ngayon Iris. Please umalis ka na, magulo lang ang isip ko."

She paid no heed to his plea. "Are you affected by what Tessa said?" Ali looked away looking like he was in extreme pain.

"Affected ka eh. San don? Sa pagiging honest or in keeping a secret?"

"Iris please, look-"

"Ano nga kasi ang problema? Mula ng tumuntong tayo sa Greece hindi na kita kilala. Gagawin mo ba sa akin ang ginawa ni Tessa?"

"Wag mong husgahan si Tessa, karapatan niyang maging masaya."

"Oo nga karapatan nga niya pero hindi mo na ba ako gusto? Hindi mo na ba ako mahal?"

Ali's silence said it all.

"So ganon nga? Hindi mo na ako mahal. Ano bang mali sa akin? Ano ba ang kulang sa akin? Pangit ba ako? Anong mali sa akin?!"

"Walang mali sa'yo Iris."

"So ano ngang mali, sasabihin mo it's you? it's me! Ganon?" She started to punch him in the chest with emotions mixed with fury, hurt and confusion.

"I'm gay."
