Kendal Jenner: On setting herself apart from her Kardashian sisters by keeping it clean and simple
Kendall Nicole Jenner is an American fashion model and television personality originally known for being a member of Kardashian-Jenner clan in the famously infamous E! reality television show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. She was a mere twelve years old when she joined her family's television series, often in the shadows of her glamorous and older siblings Kim Kardashian-West, Khloe' Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Mother Kris Jenner and Kylie Jenner.
Being part of a television series opened a wide door of opportunities and possibilities for Kendall in pursuing her modelling career. And at the age of 14, she was signed on with Wilhelmina models in 2009.
Her first modelling job was the Rocker Babes with a Twist campaign for Forever 21 in December 2009 and January 2010. She was also featured in a Teen Vogue Snapshot on April 19, 2010.
Breakout model star
After working with multiple commercial print ad campaigns and photo shoots, Kendall Jenner finally gained prominence the moment she turned 18. Everyone started noticing that they were looking at the full-blossomed beauty that grown before their very eyes. Moreover, her Instagram account has become an instant hit as she gained huge following and became one of the top ten most followed celebrities and television personalities of 2015.
The Kardashians were known for their sexy and seductive makeups, high-end fashion outfits and glamorous lifestyle that when she came out fresh with her barely there makeup, clean white shirts with straight hair and svelte figure, it was a breath of fresh air.
Calvin Klein was one of the first company who trusted her to be their brand ambassador and has done multiple editorials and cover shoots for LOVE magazine and various international Vogue editions.
It was not easy to enter the high fashion industry to say the least. It was reported that Kendall Jenner dropped her last name when she participated in model casting when she was started out. She only presented herself as simple as Kendall and nobody recognized her at first. Her hard work has paid off as she was tapped to walk the runways for high fashion designers during the New York, Milan, and Paris Fashion Weeks.
Aside from her modeling career and television series, Kendal and her sister also collaborated with other companies for their multiple fashion lines and jewelry lines among others.
Amidst Kendall Jenner's chaotic but often fun journey into adulthood, she somehow managed successfully discover her true voice, her own fashion style and her own way of coping being under the microscope all the time.
Kendall Jenner made her debut at No. 16 on Forbes magazine'ss 2015 list of top-earning models, with an estimated annual income of US $4 million.
Her first Vogue magazine cover came out in 2016, cementing her presence as one of respected runaway models of the fashion industry. A dream come true for her needless to say.
She graced the catwalk for Victoria's Secret 2015 fashion show.
She has come a long way from a shy teenager from Keeping Up with the Kardashian to a famous fashion model and Television personality. And much to the joy of her millions social media followers, she has not lost her fresh, clean and simple look, the main components that helped her stood out from the rest.
When she was just starting, many commented in her social media accounts that with her family's social stature and millions of money in the bank, she didn't even need to work hard and be a model but she did.
Kendall Jenner has grown to be fun, fearless and ambitious young woman that is working hard to achieved her life's goals.
And she will be slaying all the time. One important thing that set her apart from the rest? She was not afraid and she doesn't care.
