[flashback to the year 2015]

Yu-ri's mom was talking to her over the phone, her mom is scolding her for running errands for work when she's near her due date but Yu-ri just laughs and reassure her that she will be just fine before hanging up the phone. 

Yu-ri's dad looked uneasy and told mom that he had a strange dream last night but he couldn't remember it, both of them thinks that it's just a dream and didn't put any meaning to it when the phone suddenly rang and Yu-ri's dad immediately answered, he suddenly drops the telephone on the floor after receiving the bad news that Yu-ri got into an accident.

That's why every time Yu-ri's mom attends the support group, she always shares that she regrets not convincing her daughter to just go home because she thinks that if she has just convinced Yu-ri she would have still been alive.

Back to the present

After Gang Hwa told Min Jung that their pick-up helper is actually his dead wife Yu-ri, Min Jung kept silent and just stared at him in return. 

She locks herself in their room and didn't let Gang Hwa in, Gang Hwa gave Min Jung the space that she needs and spend his night at their room's doorstep. The next day, Min Jung opened the door and take Seo Woo to prepare her to school, still completely ignoring Gang Hwa. But when she eventually came back, she left the door open and let Gang Hwa in, she refused to believe what Gang Hwa said and told him not to joke about things like that but Gang Hwa looked desperate and told her that he wouldn't cry like that last night if he was just joking but Min Jung is still in denial of the truth.

Geun Sang is still bothered by what Yu-ri told him the other day, about the ghost that has been lingering around him. Although he cannot see Sang Bong, he tries to talk to him and ask him what it is that he wanted from him, he then turns to find comfort from his wife but Hyun Jung seemed problematic too because she looks too preoccupied that she's pouring almost all the red pepper on the dish that she's making, she only realizes her mistake when Geun Sang distracted her from her thoughts. Geun Sang asks if she's worried about Yu-ri again and sight that caught Hyun Jung's attention, she now understands why Yu-ri chose to hide at them at first because everyone is sighing over her situation that's why she doesn't want to be discovered in the first place.

Hyun Jung drops everything that she's doing and left the store to poor Geun Sang who is scared to be left alone especially when a ghost is lingering around him.

Yu-ri's mom scolded her husband when she found out from him that he lost Seo Woo yesterday, now she understands why Yu-ri secretly cried so hard last night. Yu-ri's mom worries about Yu-ri's relationship with Min Jung. 

Meanwhile, Min Jung reads the message from Yu-ri saying she's sorry but didn't respond.

Yu-ri felt bad after hearing from Ms. Mi-dong that Pil-Seung's family was sent off by Guk Bong when they hide Seo Woo, she blames herself but Ms. Mi-dong told her that Pil-Seung's family has been staying as a ghost for a long time and it is about time for them to go but Yu-ri still feel indebted to the family and thinking of cooking for Pil Seung for one last time as her gratitude to Pil-Seung's family and Ms. Mi-dong reminds her that she still has her own problems and there are just a few days left to her.

Hyun Jung rented a fancy car and picked up Yu-ri from her house, Yu-ri was surprised by Hyun Jung's unplanned trip but still come with her anyway. They went for a long ride and Hyun Jung smiles by just watching Yu-ri enjoying the good weather with the windows down and her hair flying in the breeze.

They ride a bike and tried extreme rides enjoying the beautiful view of the countryside. After all that, they sat on one of the benches with coffee in their hands both smiling widely. Hyun Jung asked Yu-ri if she's been with her for the past five years and Yu-ri told her that of course, she was also with her, she feels grateful because Hyun Jung never missed her birthday even if she's already gone. Hyun Jung told her that at first, it didn't really dawn on her that Yu-ri is really gone because she used to study abroad and she felt like Yu-ri was just away and when it finally sinks in that Yu-ri won't be coming back all she could do is cry until she eventually starts moving on and she feels bad about it and celebrating Yu-ri's birthday is her only way of holding on. Yu-ri admitted that she's hurt to see Hyun Jung slowly forgetting her but it scares her more if people will never forget about her and just remain sad.

Hyun Jung figured that Yu-ri knows that Gang Hwa is having trouble at work because of his trauma and Yu-ri blames herself for it. Although Hyun Jung told her that it wasn't her fault, Yu-ri still feels responsible for it because of the choice she made that day before she died.

Ms. Mi-dong is delivering a service for Pil-Seung's family and the ghosts behind her are calling Guk Bong heartless for sending the ghost family just like that but Ms. Mi-dong told them that the exorcist sees them as demons that need to be sent off so they should better hurry to resolve all their regrets before Guk Bong comes back for them.

Min Jung is still sulking in the darkness of her apartment when she decided to go out and went straight to Yu-ri's parent's house and she happened to saw Hyun Jung and Yu-ri entering the house and also heard Yeon Ji called Yu-ri, she now then stared at the plaque on the gate with the family members written on it including Cha Yu-ri and she gasped upon confirming that Gang Hwa isn't joking at all.

Inside the house, everyone is gathered in the living room to eat and drink, Yu-ri's family is glad to have Hyun Jung visit again after a long time because they also kept their distance from Hyun Jung for Gang Hwa's sake. Yu-ri's dad almost tears up because of too much joy that Yu-ri is back and they just all laugh at him for being emotional again.

Geun Sang desperately asks for Ms. Mi-dong's help to ask the ghost that has been lingering around him what does it wants from him and Sang Bong told Geun Sang through Ms. Mi-dong to tell his mom that he didn't kill himself because his mom blames herself for Sang Bong's death because she thought Sang Bong committed suicide when he didn't.

Sang Bong told Geun Sang that he is the only one who can help him because he knows Sang Bong's mental state before he died.

After having to find out everything, Min Jung told Gang Hwa that it must've been fun watching her adore Yu-ri like a fool and Gang Hwa told her that it was the first time he saw her that happy with other people's company and he doesn't want to hurt her but Min Jung told her that before thinking about her happiness he should take care of his own issues first. "You're a mess," she tells him.

Going home from work, Yu-ri spots her mom at the bus stop and offered to join her to her monthly check-up at the hospital, when they were at the bus, Yu-ri notices that her mom's heart still races every time she sees a crosswalk because it reminds her of the tragedy that happened to Yu-ri.

After hearing the same thing from Min Jung and Yu-ri, Gang Hwa decided to face his fears and told Dr. Jang that he will observe one of the scheduled surgeries, Geun Sang is worried and told him to immediately go out of the operating room if his symptoms start showing, the other doctors who will join him are also throwing concerned stares at him as they walk nearer to the operating room.

Yu-ri's mom went inside one of the rooms for her appointment and Yu-ri is left alone at the hospital hall, that's when she heard from the nurses that Gang Hwa walked out of the operating room after just 10 minutes of being inside before his symptoms start showing again, Yu-ri immediately went to the staircase that Gang Hwa used to go before every time he couldn't breathe because of his trauma. She found him at his usual hiding spot having his hardest time to breathe and Yu-ri immediately crouches down beside him and encourages him to breathe just like she usually does when she was still a ghost. Gang Hwa looks up to see her and buries his face on her shoulder as he repeatedly asks her "why did you do it? why did you leave me all alone?"

[flashback ]

Gang Hwa is arguing with Dr. Jang because Dr. Jang is stopping him to start the operation because they need to prioritize the VIP and Gang Hwa firmly refuse, he told his staff to cut all the communication outside and lock the door before he goes on with the operation.

That's why when Yu-ri arrived covered in blood, Dr. Jang couldn't get a hold of Gang Hwa, and Yu-ri with all the strength left on her keep on telling Dr. Jang to save her baby first, and Dr. Jang is left with no choice because if they wait for Gang Hwa it will be too late to save neither of his wife and daughter.

By the time Gang Hwa finishes the operation, he ran to Yu-ri but it was too late. He screams at Dr. Jang but eventually blames himself for Yu-ri's death.

[flashback ]

Gang Hwa is still crying in Yu-ri's arms and told her that she should've lived and Yu-ri repeatedly says that she's sorry and told Gang Hwa to stop blaming himself because it's not his fault.

Meanwhile, Min Jung stares at the apology text Yu-ri sent her and still didn't respond, she saw the friendship bracelets she bought for Yu-ri and Hyun Jung and stares at them for a moment before putting them away inside a drawer.

Gang Hwa's psychiatrist told Dr. Jang that Gang Hwa blames himself for Yu-ri's death and he feels guilty entangled with resentment and regret and the person that put him in that situation is already gone that's why it is really hard for Gang Hwa to overcome his trauma.

Dr. Jang and Gang Hwa was out drinking and Dr. Jang is trying to motivate Gang Hwa and told him that he did a good job earlier because 10 minutes in the operating room is progress When Dr. Jang asked Gang Hwa what made him change his mind and joined the operation, Gang Hwa told him that Yu-ri wants him to move on and it's probably time to do so now that Yu-ri is back but Dr. Jang didn't seem to follow what he just said and he just responds with a smile.

Geun Sang told Hyun Jung about what he witnessed earlier in the hospital, he immediately went to find Gang Hwa after hearing that he walked out of the operating room and when he found Gang Hwa at the stairwell, Yu-ri is already there comforting Gang Hwa and repeatedly apologize to him, Hyun Jung snapped at Geun Sang and told him why would Yu-ri apologize when she's the unfortunate one. Hyun Jung figured that Yu-ri is feeling bad right now that's why she sent her the photos they took when they drink and eat together last night.

Yu-ri is sitting at one of the benches in the park as she scrolls through the photos that Hyun Jung sent her, Yu-ri smiles and whispers to herself "I want to live too."

At Hyun Jung's bar, Geun Sang is confused why is Hyun Jung getting emotional when Hyun Jung said that Yu-ri wants to live when Yu-ri is already alive, Hyun Jung finally confess that Yu-ri is going to die again, and as soon as the words escape her mouth, Gang Hwa slowly walks in the room, "What did you say? Yu-ri is going to die?" he asked slowly then turns to a scream asking why would Yu-ri die again...

After realizing how much she really wanted to live, Yu-ri rushes to Ms. Mi-dong and told her that she wants to live and stay with Seo Woo and her family for a long time...

"Can I live?" she desperately asks...
