The End, Episode 16 recap

It was the first snow in Urk after 100 years and Yoon Myeong Ju saw Seo Dae Young walking through the snow, she was astounded as she watches Seo Dae Young coming towards her direction.

  

FIRST SNOW IN URK

"I'm sorry, I took so long to reply."

"We're not separating, I won't separate with you again," Seo Dae Young said as a response to Yoon Myeong Ju's question the last time they saw each other a year ago.

Yoon Myeong Ju cried and repeatedly hit Seo Dae Young's chest, He hugs her tight and they cried in each other's arms.

Yoon Myeong Ju must've used all her luck because it snowed in Urk after 100 years and Seo Dae Young whom she loves so much came back alive.

(flashback)

While helping Seo Dae Young shave his beard, she asked what really happened to Seo Dae Young and Yoo Si Jin because they all thought that they died in action and their bodies couldn't be retrieved but they came back alive after a year of being dead.

Seo Dae Young told her that the Militia arrived before the bombing and they were taken into a bomb shelter. After that, they were locked into an unknown prison cell for 150 to 155 days.

When the Militia was going to kill them, A friend of Captain Yoo from faraway arrived and saved them.

"I will pay you back for this even after I die."

"This is for what I owe you," Senior Lieutenant Anh said.

ALBANIAN REFUGEE CAMP

The Medical Team video call Dr. Kang and they were all shocked to see Captain Yoo behind her, eating the fruits and wine Dr. Kang prepared that was supposed to be for his Memorial Rites.

VIDEO CALL FROM SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

"Am I seeing things?" Chi Hun said nervously.

"I see him too," Nurse Min Jin said, terrified.

"Today is the first anniversary... of Captain Yoon's death," Nurse Ha said in horror.

Chi Hun told Dr. Kang to tell Captain Yoo that she loves him and she misses him so he could finally go and rest in peace and Dr. Kang couldn't hold back her laughter any longer because the Medical Team's reaction after seeing Captain Yoo is hilarious.

ALBANIAN REFUGEE CAMP

"They want you to leave already," Dr. Kang laugh.

"You can't say that, that makes me upset." 

"Hello, everyone," Captain Yoo said and wave his injured hand.

"My gosh- No way!" Everyone said when they realize that Captain Yoo was actually not a ghost and he's alive.

After going back from the dead, Captain Yoo and Sergeant Major Seo were warmly welcomed with applaud and respect by their comrades.

"Attention. Salute the-" Captain Yoo was about to give respect to the Commander but he didn't finish his greeting because the Commander hug him and Sergeant Major Seo at the same time.

"Thank you. Thank you for coming back alive" the Commander said emotionally.

Dr. Kang and Captain Yoo went fishing that tested Dr. Kang's patience because they finally caught one fish after 3 hours of waiting. She also discovers one thing that the Commander is afraid of touching a fish and she finds him adorable.

They went inside the tent they prepared and Dr. Kang strictly told Captain Yoo to stick to his side but Captain Yoo see no lines between them. Dr. Kang brought the stone that they got from the Shipwreck in Urk and they told each other to go back there and bring the stone back one day.

Captain Yoo and Sergeant Seo said that they have an important Mission on the 23rd because they will be guarding another VIP but it turns out that the VIP they were talking about is a Korean girl group named Red Velvet. 

Chi Hun was browsing through the internet when he accidentally saw the video of Captain Yoo and Sergeant Seo along with other soldiers enthusiastically cheering the girl group while holding a card that says "Red Velvet is sweeter than my girlfriend."

When Nurse Min Jin saw it, she snatched Chi Hun's tablet and immediately show it to Dr. Kang

"He obviously did his part in keeping the peace," Dr. Song said with a playful smile.

"That's not him," Dr. Kang said not tearing her eyes on the screen as she crumples an empty water bottle in her hand.

On one of her TV appearances, Dr. Kang took the opportunity to get revenge on Captain Yoo. She asked the host before the interview if she could ask her something that's not on the script.

"Are you dating anyone?" the host asked.

"To prevent hyperlipidemia, It would be great to have a boyfriend to exercise with..."

"But I don't have one. I'm too busy" she said and smiled sweetly on the camera as if she's mocking someone through her statement.

And she succeeded because Captain Yoo was gravely affected.

"You're too busy to have a boyfriend? What does make me?"

"Your best male friend? A soldier's best friend." Captain Yoo scoffed.

"You were also on TV acting like you didn't have a girlfriend..."

"So I thought we had an agreement," Dr. Kang said.

TAEBAK BASE, URK

"I had no idea you could dance," Lieutenant Yoon told Sergeant Major Seo over the phone because she also saw the video of her boyfriend going crazy over a girl group.

"The editor was cruel." Seo Dae Young said trying to make an excuse.

"Do you love velvet?" Lieutenant Yoon asked.

"Whatever you say, I won't give up on you" Sergeant Major Seo said.

"I'll be back in 157 days, for the remaining 157 days, I will only think of how to kill you." 

"I cheered when our Battalion Commander joined us, the editor was cruel." 

"It was all my fault, Red Velvet did nothing wrong," Captain Yoo said.

"I'll kill you then," Dr. Kang said and started hitting him with a pillow, she only stopped when Captain Yoo told her that he's not a Captain anymore because she thought that he lost his job.

"I'm getting promoted, I'm going to be a squadron leader." 

"Really?" Dr. Kang asked, smiling widely.

"Why are you so pleased."

"Will you get paid more?"

"Why are you so pleased?"

Captain Yoo got promoted as a Squadron Leader and the Alpha Team is very happy for him. 

"As of March 25, 2016, I, Captain Yoo Si Jin."

"have been promoted from Captain to Squadron Leader."

"The man I love is a soldier."

"He's a special forces Squadron Leader who believes that..."

Just like what the Commander told him a year ago, Sergeant Major Seo came back with Myeong Ju for a cup of tea the Commander offered.

While Sergeant Major Seo was locked up in an unknown prison cell with Captain Yoo, as his flesh and bones were torn he never once regretted being a soldier that's why he believes that their Country should not lose a soldier like him.

"I want to leave when I should, with my dignity intact."

"I will find another way to gain your approval sir" Sergeant Major Seo said.

"Our nation already recognize your service and I'm proud that you will be my son in law."

"I approved the day you left, and I regretted letting you go that day ever since you left."

"Right now, I'm just sincerely happy."

"that you've made that decision," the commander said.

"Dad," Yoon Myeong Ju cried and ran to hug her father.

"Please take good care of my daughter." 

"Sir, Yes sir." Seo Dae Young said.

LETTER FROM FATIMA

Dr. Kang received a Christmas card from Fatima.

"Hello, it's Fatima."

"I'm learning Korean these days."

"I want to become a doctor and help you when I grow up."

"Merry Christmas."

"I miss you and I love you," Fatima wrote.

"I spent my money well," Dr. Kang emotionally told herself.

Chi Hun used Dr. Song's laptop to access the news from Urk, the kid he used to call blackey now has a goat that was named blackey. Nurse Ha remember the secret file Dr. Song told her about before and she opened it out of curiosity and she was surprised to see a collection of her pictures from teen to her 30s,

After what she just discovered, Nurse Ha was walking through the hospital with her thoughts preoccupied, she unconsciously bumps into another doctor but Dr. Song was quick to hold her.

"Rest if you're tired, don't collapse in another person's arm," Dr. Song said as he looks at her intently

"And just tell me if you saw something, I know that you saw all my folders, It was in the recycle bin folder."

"You said you wanted it deleted," Nurse Ha said.

"I meant when I die."

"Why did you delete it?"

"Why did you have it?"

"To propose to you. That's my proposal saying that... "

"from my teens through thirties you were the only one in my life."

"Stop."

"What? Confession?"

"Whatever it is. Even if it happens I'll do it."

"What? Confession?"

"Yes, After I pay you back all the money I owe you."

AT THE CAFETERIA

Lieutenant Yoon Myeong Ju told Sergeant Major Seo that Ye Hwa and Daniel are getting married in Canada and she told her how Daniel saved Ye Hwa and how they fell in love.

"Did you talk about such stories?" Sergeant Major Seo said.

"I told her about your will, and she told me how she lost her family."

"Did you read my will?"

"Why would I read that? Everyone writes lyrics on them or copy someone else's."

"I didn't copy anything."

"Don't try to fool me."

"My operation was always about running away" Sergeant Major Seo suddenly recited what's written in his will .

"You, who's more courageous than anyone."

"loved me very much who is more cowardly than anyone."

"I want to thank you and apologize to you."

"if you are reading this will..."

"I, the cowardly one will remain as a painful memory until the end."

"Do not forgive me."

"As much as always thought of you, I hope you live a happy life."

"Attention. All who is lower in rank than me must close their eyes right now," Sergeant Seo ordered and kissed Lieutenant Yoon on her forehead.

"Attention. All who is lower in rank than me must close their eyes too" Myeong Ju said and deeply kissed Sergeant Major Seo that made everyone cheer for them.

"As a licensed practitioner"

WRECKSHIP, URK

Captain Yoo and Dr. Kang kept their promise and brought back the stone in the Island where the Wreckship is.

"Is that good?" Captain Yoo asked as she watches Dr. Kang drank the wine they brought because he couldn't drink because he needs to drive their boat.

"You must want it badly, there's a way you can drink this right?" Dr. Kang smirked.

"I was nervous to death when you did that," Dr. Kang said pertaining to that night Captain Yoo kissed her so he could taste the wine.

"I'm nervous to death right now, I'm at the beach with drinks and a beautiful woman" Captain Yoo said.

"And the stars are bright too."

They saw the shooting star and when Captain Yoo asked Kang Mo Yeon if she made a wish she told him that she wished for him to kiss her.

"I love you," Captain Yoo said.

"Me too."

"That's a question."

"I love you, that's my answer."

"Me too," Captain Yoo said and he kissed her while the stars shine brightly above them.

VANCOUVER, CANADA

They were all dressed in fancy at the reception of Daniel and Ye Hwa's wedding in Vancouver Canada. Everything is perfect for a happy ending.

"Don't you love an ending like this? We overcome all of life's difficulties with love."

"and everyone lived happily ever after."

When the lights suddenly turned off.

"Is this a kissing time?"

"Is there a show coming up."

"This isn't a flashback, what's wrong with this scene?"

"I don't think this is leading to a romantic scene."

"It was a volcano! a volcano just erupted."

"Are we all giving up our vacation then?"

"I feel like this is the beginning of a very long report."
