La Luna Sangre: Embers of fire, episode 115 recap

The blast was too close for comfort and Malia accepted the brunt of it. The sky lit up as the explosion rises and falls within seconds. The blast reverberated around the forest and the uncanny sounds of nocturnal animals echoed the cries of the damaged earth. 

Unprepared, Baristo and others were inadequate to cover themselves as they crouched from where they were standing at the time of the explosion.

Although, they rushed to her side, each echoing her name in concern. Malia got up and brushed off her injuries as if it was nothing. Tristan was the uppermost in her mind as she looked up at her Tatay Baristo. "Si Tristan, Tay." She blurted out, afraid for him already. Baristo went quiet a he looked at her deeply, seemingly not knowing what to think nor respond to her pleading enquiry about Tristan.

⟲ Supremo's Den ⟳

"Ang akala nyo siguro ay matatakasan nyo ako." Supremo said almost conversationally as he strolled to their prison cell. Tristan and Hayfe was unable to say anything, so great their disappointment was. Hayfe's tears started rolling as the vampire stopped in front of them and looked as if they were nothing.

Supremo went inside their cell and captured Hayfe in one swift motion, "ipapalasap ko sa inyo ang aking galit sa patuloy na pagbibigay sa akin ng sakit ng ulo." Hayfe cried out as he pulled hard on her hair, exposing her neck to his angry perusal. She called on Tristan but he was motionless, as if frozen on spot. Supremo bit on her, drawing hard on her blood. Her irises turned to rounded black orbs as the pain hit her. Then, her screams turned into muffled, pained cry and Tristan's eyes rounded in abject horror.

And like the puppet master that he was, Supremo discarded Hayfe like a broken doll, ending his show with a flourished arch of his hand. Then, he strolled out as if it was a normal day in hell while Tristan knelt by her side, his agonized cry was hidden by his crumpled body.

⟲ Moonchasers' HQ ⟳

Meanwhile, Professor T. was preparing himself for his meeting with the Supremo in exchange for his people. He ignored his Moonchasers' protests and cry of assistance as his mind was full. Walking as one group within their hallway, he received a call from the Supremo ordering him to go to Muerte Uno for he has a surprise for him. The professor didn't respond to the sinister threat behind his pleasantly cold voice and the evil lord hanged up. Instead, he called Jacintha to informed her thus.

⟲ Supremo's Den ⟳

At the same time, Supremo has received the reports of the series of attacks in his vampires' businesses and to his further confoundment, the woman in red cape was held responsible for the attacks. "But, how can that be?" Katrina said in wonder as she looked at Supremo. "Samantha was already dead."

⟲ Moonchasers' HQ ⟳

In the same moment, LLU were watching the news regarding the attacks at what the general public and authorities deemed as terrorist attacks. Accepting but not confirming that it was indeed the workings of the Moonchasers since their own group was not responsible for these attacks on vampires' establishments. Though, they didn't approved nor condone the activities, there was a consensus of agreement that what Moonchasers' did was to further anger the Supremo.

In connection with the news, the act of terrorism that the media claimed was made up from Professor T.'s secret spray that allowed them to concoct another story to lead them off the scent. They have a lot on their plates but they were also satisfied on the job they did.                                    

⟲ LLU HQ ⟳

The next morning, as they were still looking for Tristan and Hayfe, Malia instructed some of her men to double their efforts in surveilling the SMV Corporation for like their previous predicament, they had no leads on the formers' exact location.

Alone, Malia gave herself a minute to feed the weakness that wa seating her guts out at that moment. She sat on the setee and bowed her head. Baristo strode in and sat on her side. "Anak..." He called softly. Immediately, she looked up and turned to him. "Bakit ang hirap, Tay? Iilang buhay, hindi ko mailigtas?"

⟲ Tristan ⟳

In the darkness of the Supremo's manipulative scheme of things, Tristan remained alive but tortured. The former has no objective but to inflict the most excruciating pain for him and his group for daring to go against him. Tristan regarded him balefully and instructed him to do his worst which made Supremo get angrier, albeit, he accepted his bullheadedness with a little bit of reluctant respect.

⟲ Mapulang Lupa ⟳

Meanwhile, in search for her nephew, Betty sought the help of Doc to accompany her to Moonchasers' headquarters.

And sensing her struggles as she tried to shield her family from Tristan's situation, Betty was unable to contain her emotions as her parents confronted her. She told them the whole story about Tristan being a member of an organization that aims to annihilate evil vampires and save the humanity from it's evil clutches. 

Though, heartbroken, her parents tried to keep an open mind as they assimilated the information that Tristan was following the footsteps of his dead father without their knowledge. Furthermore, just like what she did with Tonio, Betty hid the truth from them. 

However, what shook Betty was the knowledge that Tristan was not the real son of Tonyo nor Fall. She never knew the truth even when she was the closest to her brother. The couple admitted that they were admitted that they only found out that Tristan was not of Tonio's blood nor Fall's when the former was admitted into the hospital because of some illness.

So, Betty decided to investigate further. They invited Summer over dinner in hope to learn more about Fall Sison or the situation of Tristan's birth origins. 

⟲ Moonchasers HQ ⟳

Professor T. formally introduces Jacintha to the whole group as the new head of their organization. He told them that like Samantha, Jacintha was also a vampire and posses a power that can rival the Supremo. Moreover, she was the real brains behind the Moonchasers which gave them more reason to trust her. 

After a while, Malia went to the headquarters to talk to him. And as they were discussing about their plight, the professor received a call from the Supremo. Looking at her he received the call. "Supremo," he greeted heavily.

"Professor," Supremo said on the other line. "Gusto kong malaman ang iyong sagot sa ating kasunduan. Ibigay mo sa akin ang babaing nakapula at ikaw kapalit ng kaligtasan ni Tristan."

Malia answered for the professor. "Hinding-hindi kami papayag na magtagumpay ka sa binabalak mo."

Supremo frowned in surprise. "Sino to?"

"Ang itinakda na papatay sa'yo."

"Ah, ang bagong itinakda." He enthusiast, "mabuti naman at lumantad ka na. Hindi na ako mahihirapan na hanapin ka pa."

After her conversation with the Supremo, Malia and Professor T. held a meeting and discussed their action plans. However, Erin was not pleased that they were risking a lot of lives for just a mere man. "Bakit ba kailangan pa nating isakripisyo ang buhay ng nakakarami para lang kay Tristan?" He said in a raised voice laced with incredulity. Silence met his question. Malia said nothing, but she walked out as if she was hounded by a thousand wolves. And the Professor's looks told him that he was being a jerk while the members of LLU looked at each other in silence.

Outside, Malia poured out all her anger at the rising moon. She lamented and cursed at the Higher Being. And, as if in response to her wild lamentations, it started to rain. It came as a drizzle, then, with big droplets of water that seemed to matched her emotions. 

She knelt on the floor, squeezed her eyes shut and started to pray, "hindi tala na nasa langit, kung hindi sa buwan na nakasilip. Ibigay ang hiling ng matang nakapikit."

She cried hard as she knelt on the cobbled floor. Then, like an answer to her prayer, she suddenly felt a pulsating energy from her wrist, they felt as if they were on fire. She opened her eyes and looked at her open palms in wonder. They were like embers of fires on her hands, glowing like technicolor.

Subsequently, she looked up at the moon in silent wonder.
