La Luna Sangre - Daughter's Call, episode 96 recap

La Luna Sangre: Daughter's Call, episode 96

Upon receiving Jacintha's answers to her questions, Malia shook her head in confusion as if she was trying hard to make sense of the situation and the fact that her mother was siding with the evil vampire. She gave out shuddering breaths as she stared at her mother. "Kung alam nyo kung ano ang tunay na pagkatao ni Gilbert Imperial, nagtratrabaho ba kayo kay Gilbert Imperial para tulungan ako?"

"Hindi ko alam ang sinasabi mo." Jacintha said coldly and she turned to leave.

"Nararamdaman ko kayo 'yan, Nay." Malia implored her mother.

On the other side, Barang was full of curiosity at the scene she was witnessing. She was trying to piece together the connection between Jacintha and the young lady that she was talking to. And, soon enough, she learned that the young lady was Malia, the chosen one. And she that could well obviously be Lia's daughter.

However, Jacintha gave young Malia no hope as she glared and told her in no uncertain terms to stop following her.

Thus, Malia was left with a broken heart as tears started pouring down her face when Jacintha left. She couldn't believed that the person who has her mother's face was not whom she seems. The one whom she misses so much.

⟲ Samantha's Home ⟳

After a while, Jacintha entered Samantha's abode with controlled movements that didn't hide her agitation. She walked into the interior of the house as if hounded by a pack of wolves while Samantha trailed behind in confusion.

"Nakakasira ng plano." Jacintah blurted out softly.

"What happened?" Samantha inquired.

"Sinabi ko na na ligpitin mo si Barang." She said to the other but there was no accusation in her tone as she stopped walking.

Finally, she turned to Samantha. "Nagkaharap kami ni Malia, nandoon si Barang."

Samantha's doe eyes widened, then her gaze lowered briefly. "Patawad, hindi ko nagawa."

As if released from stasis, Jacintha looked agitated once more. "Kailangan na balikan ko si Malia." She informed her, knowing that Malia's life could be in danger since she revealed herself as the Chosen One and Barang wouldn't miss the opportunity to tell on the Supremo. And as she made a move to leave, Samantha halted her as shook her briefly.

"Hindi ako na lang. Wag mo ng gawing komplikado ang sitwasyon. Ako na ang bahala kay Barang." Samantha assured her.

⟲ Moonchasers' HQ ⟳

At the same time, Tristan and the others organized their family's transferred to the Moonchasers' infirmary. All of them had consumed the virus and now was about to consume the bacteria that will turn their blood unsavory from the vampires.

⟲ Malia ⟳

In the interim, Malia stood by her borrowed car for a long, long time. Disbelieving and crying. And that was her state when Luningning found her. She looked up and encountered the empathy on her childhood friend's face and her face crumpled yet again from the new wave of tears that followed as she accepted Luningning's embrace.

⟲ Jacintha ⟳

After Samantha was gone, Jacintha went to the balcony and stared unseeingly on the fountain below. Malia's voice, words and emotions ran on her head over and over again. There was a certain melancholia in her classical face and an element of determination.

⟲ LLU HQ ⟳

The next morning, Malia went to their breakfast room despondently. She didn't acknowledged anyone, not even the person that urged her to eat since she hadn't eaten anything since last night. Her thoughts were still of her mother and the scene that she had with Jacintha Magsaysay.

And Gael and the others was concerned for her. They speculated on the real identity of the person that shared the face of Malia's mother. They also worried that since Malia revealed herself to Jacintha Magsaysay which was working for Gilbert Imperial, their leader's life could be at risk. So, they agreed to investigate more regarding Jacintha Magsaysay.

After a while, Malia was halted in her intention to get out of the house. "Punong Bantay, saan ka pupunta?" Jethro asked.

"Pupunta lang ako sa campaign ni Gilbert Imperial." She answered reluctantly.

"Hindi pwede. Delikado." Gael said succinctly.

She said in a far stronger voice that she had used so far to her comrades.

"Pupunta ka ba doon para sa campaign or para kay Jacintha Magsaysay?" Jethro probed further.

Malia didn't answer. Jethro sighed loudly. Then, bowed his head respectfully. "Punong Bantay, nagaalala lang kami para sa kaligtasan nyo. Nagpakilala kayo kay Jacintha Magsaysay na nagtra-trabaho para kay Gilbert Imperial. Hindi natin alam kung siya ba ay kakampi at kaaway."

"Punong Bantay, hayaan mo na kami muna ang gumawa ng hakbang upang makasiguro sa pagkatao ni Jacintha Magsaysay." Gael strengthen the argument in their favor and Malia had no recourse but to gave in.

⟲ Barang ⟳

Meanwhile, Barang woke up with a start, her head was heavy and she felt constricted. She blinked her blurry eyes, trying to find a semblance of normality.

And then, her eyes moved downward and she started at the reason why she felt constricted; she was chained on a chair from her chest down to her lower limbs. Unconsciously, she confusedly touched the chain and she screamed loudly as her palms smarted from pain.

"Pakawalan mo ako! Labanan mo ako!" She screamed the room down. Her anger was so great that she shook with it. However, the nickel chain was proven to be krypton for vampires, she couldn't free herself from it even as her power as a seer. "Lalabanan kita!" She screamed again, her eyes moving urgently around the darkened room.

And then, a radiating light escaped from an opened doorway and she turned sharply towards it. Her eyes glinted with anger as she snarled at the incoming intruder. "I knew it!"
