Dolce Amore: Payback, the time for revenge, episode 116 recap
Simon prepared well for his meeting with Serena that he even visited the venue ahead of their scheduled meeting just to check if everything was set according to his satisfaction. He specifically ordered for the finest Italian wine and violinists that will play on cue just to impress Serena and get her good side.
He asked the violinists to play a song while waiting for her, confident that she will come.
Meanwhile, Serena looked at her reflection in front of a mirror that night.
And she decided to stay and have dinner with her family instead.
Then she received a call from Connie, asking her on what time she'll come. But Serena said that she has no plans to go and an invitation doesn't guarantee her appearance since she does not have any connection with Villa Marchesa anymore.
On the other hand, Simon waited for Serena, getting impatient especially to the persistent waiter for seemed like an endless hours. And in the end, it was Hannah who came. "Pwede bang ako na lang ulit?" Hannah's smile was beckoning as she looked at him.
"Sure," Simon answered then he excused himself, stood up and called Connie.
"Sir, hindi po daw siya pupunta. Hindi naman po daw siya nag-confirm." Connie was teary-eyed as she relayed the news to her boss.
After awhile, while the Marchesa were having coffee, they were approached by their security guard to announce that Mr. Dubois was outside their property. "Are you sure nandiyan siya sa labas? 'Yung maputi, gwapo at walang abs?" Senor Roberto was surprised as with Serena and Senora Luciana.
Serena took a peak of Serena then went back inside to ordered the security to tell Tenten that he needs to leave because he's not welcome in their home.
Simon was unmoved and told the security to relay his message that he will not leave until Serena talks to him.
In the standoff between Serena and Simon, Senora Luciana risked talking to her son outside of their house to talk to her son. "If you really want to talk to Serena, I will let you in. Kakausapin ko siya," Senora Luciana offered.
However, full of anger, Simon told her, "stop acting nice, Luciana. Wala ka na sa korte. Wag kang magpanggap na mabait dahil hindi magbabago ang pagtingin ko sa'yo."
"Gusto lang kitang tulungan."
"I don't need your help. Not now, not ever."
Senora Luciana returned to their house crying. In that state of despair, Serena found her and she inquired. "What happened, Mama?"
"Si Tenten," Senora Luciana said in between sobs. Serena was immediately on alert, "why? What have he done?"
"No, he didn't hurt me. Ang tingin kasi niya s aakin, parang hindi niya ako mapapatawad sa ginawa ko sa kanya. Parang punong puno siya ng galit sa akin." At that, Serena has no response but to hug her Mother.
Simon went back to his own house simmering. The whole family gathered around him to ask him what happened to his date with Serena. Simon seemed to be fed up with their endless questions again and again, he lashed out to them. Tatay Dodoy called his name in reprimand when Simon ended his tirade with, "mga wala kayong utang na loob!" Simon went silent as his father intervened to remind him of his manners and then, he excused himself.
The next morning, Simon avoided talking to his parents by setting up another meeting with River Cruz. Thereby, he presented him a beautiful girl to be his date. River was angry at Simon's offer and he said to him, "I don't any other girl. I just want my girl, Serena. Nang dahil sa'yo, she doesn't even answer my calls. She doesn't want to see me."
"River," Simon called as River walked off. He then followed him on the threshold of the restaurant, and as River stopped to looked at him, he said. "She was my ex-girlfriend."
